The Magewell Eco Capture QL-SDI 4K M.2 is designed for use in small and embedded systems where full-size PCIe slots are not available or impractical. It complements Magewell's flagship Pro-Capture series and offers OEMs and system integrators a compact capture solution with low power consumption and limited space requirements. The new 4K M.2 capture card from Magewell can capture 1-channel dual-link HD / 3G-SDI or quad-link 3G-SDI and, like other eco-capture models and SDI cameras, is designed for a small housing, the 12G outputs via quad-link connectivity.

The power consumption of the Magewell Eco Capture cards is (depending on the model) 30% to 70% lower than the Pro Capture cards from Magewell with similar input signal connectivity. The low power products make it less difficult for users to design the heat dissipation system for the chassis.

The Eco Capture QL-SDI 4K M.2 from Magewell supports the following modifications:

1-channel SD / HD / 3G SDI
1 dual-link HD / 3G, only support 2SI mode
1 Quad-Link 3G, only supports 2SI mode
1ch 4K video over Quad-Link 3G-SDI + embedded audio

Windows Driver Tweaks

All options can be controlled by three levels of registry key: global level, product level and device level
Video, Audio and Crossbar filter names can be customized via registry keys

Firmware Upgrade

Multiple cards in one system can be upgraded simultaneously
Cards can be upgraded without a system power shutdown (In most cases, even a reboot is not needed)
Safe upgrade. If a power-off or system breakdown occurs when the firmware is being upgraded, it will automatically revert to the initial version.

LED Indicator

Status LEDs indicate the working state of each channel:
- Pulsing slowly: idle
- On: input signal locked
- Off: input signal unlocked
- Double blinks: memory failed or FPGA configuration failed
