Megapixel lenses are used together with cameras which have a higher resolution than standard CCTV cameras (approx. 450,000 pixels). The lenses are available in 2/3" or 1/2" format. If a 1/2" camera with 2 MP is used, the 2/3" lens can be deployed. Moreover, the combination of the MP lenses with 5 MP cameras is possible.
