SMA11F series: High image quality in the visible and infrared wavelength range
The new SMA11F industrial lens series is TAMRON's first SWIR (Short Wavelength Infrared) lens series for 1-inch fixed focal length sensors. The SWIR Machine Vision lenses cover the entire spectrum from visible light to the SWIR band (400-1700 nm). They are the ideal choice for industrial food inspection or medical imaging applications.
With the SMA11F series, the focus shift that occurs has been minimized and defocused objects avoided. Thanks to their high spectral transmittance, the SWIR lenses deliver images in consistently high resolution over the entire spectrum from visible light to the SWIR band.

Introducing our new MA111F-VIR machine vision lens series

Tamron 's answer to the latest generation of high-resolution CMOS sensors is the new MA111F-VIR lens series. High-resolution imaging is becoming increasingly popular, especially in the machine vision electronics industry, where miniaturization of components requires precise inspection systems. But other non-industrial image processing applications also require higher resolutions, e.g. Aerial photography, surveillance or traffic surveillance. The MA111F-VIR series supports larger sensors (1.1 inch) from industrial cameras with up to 24 megapixel resolution and a pixel pitch of 2.5 µm. All three models have an outer diameter of 43 mm and a C-Mount , which keeps them extremely compact in this resolution range.
These lenses feature the same performance improvements as the MA23F series in terms of image quality, low distortion and anti-shock and anti-vibration screw cap mechanisms. This makes the three models really robust, high-performance industrial lenses. However, due to the wide range of applications, the MA111F-VIR series was designed to offer high contrast and high resolution over the entire focal length range from close to infinity.
Another great advantage of the MA111F-VIR lenses is their excellent performance in the near-infrared (NIR) spectrum. Tamron has been able to reduce the typical focus shift associated with the spectrum between 400 nm and 850 nm to an absolute minimum and delivers excellent image quality beyond the visible range. This makes these lenses the optics of choice for all NIR applications, such as B. Traffic surveillance.
The series includes three models with 16mm, 25mm and 50mm focal lengths: MA111F16VIR , MA111F25VIR and MA111F50VIR .

Intruduced Comput a r ViSWIR Lite Serie

The ViSWIR-Lite industrial lens series from Computar with fixed focal length was developed for the latest industrial cameras with Visible + SWIR imaging sensors. Computar's ViSWIR Lite achieves a clear and precise image that is visible for the SWIR range and also suitable for the visible light spectrum. In which a multi-layer coating is applied to absorb the specific light. Applying a multilayer coating to the metallic lens parts makes it possible to minimize the negative light effects. Compared to the HYPER APO series from Computar, the Lite series has a focus shift under changing light spectra, so that manual refocusing is required.

Launch of the new MA23F Machine Vision Lens Series

The release of new MA23F-Series from Tamron provides the latest lens technology for industrial machine vision applications, ensuring high image quality and contrast to capture every detail. With up to 8 Megapixel resolution in a 2/3” format, this Lensseries supports the trend for higher resolution in industrial inspection systems. All six models have an outer diameter of 29mm and a C-Mount, which perfectly combines with the typical 29x29mm footprint of compact industrial cameras for a minimal size in systems with limited space.
The image quality of this machine vision Lenses is optimized for short, close-up distances typically found in industrial vision systems. Tamron has further improved the lens design to achieve one of the lowest distortions of the industry. The resistance to shocks and vibrations has been improved as well. A new mechanism limits image deflection to less than 10µm, even when the lens is exposed to up to 10G impacts. Standard locking screws are provided to fix lens settings in an industrial environment.
The MA23 Series consists of models with 8mm, 12mm, 16mm, 25mm, 35mm and 50mm focal length: the MA23F08V , MA23F12V, MA23F16V, MA23F25V , MA23F35V and MA23F50V. All share the rugged industrial design, optimized image quality and compact size.

Computar's ultra-high-resolution MPT industrial lens series consists of 5 machine vision lenses with focal lengths of 12 / 16 / 25 / 35 and 50mm. The lenses are suitable for sensors up to 1.4" (1.2", 4/3") and have a resolution of 45 megapixels with a pixel pitch of 2.3µm. The lenses are specially designed for the Sony image sensors IMX530 / IMX540 / IMX492, but they inspire also with all large-format sensors with razor-sharp resolution and low distortion in the edge area. The C-mount lenses , with an aperture of Ø F2.64, are not outstandingly bright, but impress with their low distortion and compact design.Due to the floating design , working distances of only 0.15m (0.25m with the 50mm lens) are possible.

Key Features

Dedicated optical design for the latest high-megapixel 1.4-1.2 type sensor

Computar has released lenses for the new image formats from 1.4 inches to 1.2 inches (including 4/3 inches) which, in addition to the well-known 1.1-inch and 1-inch lens series, are geared to market requirements. The optical construction is optimized for fine pixel sizes like 2.3um and 2.74um and also achieves the best performance like anti-shading and lower distortion at the highest resolution.

Floating design realizing powerful image quality from close-up to infinity

Get high performance not only at close range but also at infinity in the diversified machine vision market. It can be applied to new fields such as industrial drones and sports analysis, and long-range surveillance systems combined with ultra-high pixel sensors.

High optical performance from the center to the corner edge through high-dimensional aberration correction and lens alignment / adjustment technology

Put the ultra-high refractive index glass and the low-dispersion glass in a balanced optical design. This achieves high optical performance across the entire screen, complementing the multi-ROI capability and expanding the possibilities of diagnostic imaging.

C-mount lens optimized for large sensor formats of type 1.4

By using C-mount, which offers the most versatility for general industrial use, it becomes possible to increase the number of pixels without using a large-diameter mount like F -Mount to use. It is very versatile while contributing to the miniaturization of the device and system.

RICOH introduces its new five megapixel wide-angle FA Lens FL-CC0820-5MX with 8mm focal length

High-Resolution, High-Contrast images can be acquired over a Wider Area and at Closer Working Distances.
The new lens from Ricoh expands the line-up of the four existing 2/3” 12 , 16 , 25 and 35 mm 5MX lenses for 5 megapixel cameras released in 2018-2019.

The new model provides the widest angle of view of this series, whilst still providing high resolution images right up to the periphery. With the shortest focal length of the existing lineup, this lens has the ability to be incorporated into a narrow installation space and reduces the number of cameras in the system.
As well as the previous 12 , 16 , 25 and 35 mm lenses, which have been receiving good reviews, the new 8mm model uses JIIA (Japan Industrial Imaging Association) lens standards, that satisfy S Rank* (Best Performance Class) criteria, allowing the lenses to take high resolution, high contrast, sharp images over the entire sensor at all working distances. The introduction of a floating mechanism provides high resolution, high contrast performance over a wide range of imaging distances, from 0.1m to infinity. No matter the imaging distance, this lens will maintain a sharp picture with high performance over the entire area of the screen, meeting machine vision market needs for stable, high inspection/detection precision.
The lens provides a high resolution image right up to the periphery and has low distortion, making it ideal for a variety of applications. The market, that requires high levels of inspection and detection accuracy, is transitioning to higher resolution lenses.
Key Features of the New RICOH FL-CC0820-5MX
Reducing the number of cameras and saving installation space have been realised, by wide-angle lens design with a focal length of 8 mm. With the shortest focal length amongst the existing lineup and designed for inspection applications with installation limitations, it still achieves high resolution despite its wide field of view.

Reducing the number of cameras: When installed at the same working distance, it is possible to obtain a wider field of view when compared to lenses with longer focal lengths. For example, with a 125mm working distance, the 8mm lens provides approximately 4 times the field of view (110 x 147mm) compared to a 16mm lens (58 x 78mm). (Figure 2)

Figure 2: Reducing the number of cameras (Left: 8mm Lens / Right: 16mm Lens)
  2. Saving installation space: Shorten the working distance to objects by utilising a wide field of view. For example, if the application demands a field of view of 110 x 150mm, a 25mm lens requires a working distance of over 400mm, however, our 8mm lens can obtain the same field of view with only a 125mm working distance. Computar Optimizes the Design of its Machine Vision MPY Lens Series
(V0828-MPY, V1228-MPY, V1628-MPY)

The new feature deals with the optimization of the design of the MPY series by Computar. This concerns the models V0828-MPY , V1228-MPY and V1628-MPY . A piece of metal near the lens mount has been trimmed 0.4 ~ 0.6mm to improve mechanical compatibility with certain high-resolution cameras .
All optical properties of the MPY series remain unchanged. The new models are named V0828-MPY2 , V1228-MPY2 and V1628-MPY2 .

Attention important notice : Due to the design changes, the end lens of the lens looks over. If handled improperly, the obejtkiv can be damaged. In order to avoid or exclude the impact with the lens, the lenses are supplied with a protection cover. This is attached to the edge of the lens at the end of the C-mount connector.

Main features

Relative illumination reaches up to above 90%

In general, the illumination of the peripheral area of the image is determined by "relative illumination" and "chief ray angle (CRA)". CF-ZA-1S series adopts the original optical design of Fuji film with the relative illumination up to above 90%* (lens monomer) and supports 1.1" type large sensor, and restrains CRA below 5°. Because the two are relatively balanced to each other, the clear and bright image can be obtained from the peripheral area. * When the F4 F-Stop is used more frequently by users.
In general, in order to improve the difference between light and shade in the center and peripheral area, the correction treatment of the image can only highlight the "noise" but cannot obtain good image, while CF-ZA-1S series has no need to correct illumination and realizes uniform illumination including the peripheral area, thus the high-quality image with low noise can be obtained. It is most applicable to the inspection demanding higher reliability.

  <Real image without correction treatment>

  CRA is macro lens
   CF-ZA-1S series

Original high-resolution performance of Fujinon lens "4D High Resolution"

"4D High Resolution" keeps uniform high resolution
from the image center to peripheral area and can restrain the decline of resolution caused by shooting distance or F-Stop, which is the original high-resolution performance of Fujinon lens. Therefore, the high-resolution image can be obtained
under various setting and photographic conditions.
Supporting 1.1" type sensor and 3.45μm pixel pitch (equivalent to 12 mega-pixel) makes the most use of camera performance. Especially, it is most applicable to IMX253 (1.1" type) and IMX255 (1" type).
The lens supports next generation sensors which are becoming more sensitive. It is good for 1.1" type sensor and 2.5μm pixel (equivalent to 23 mega-pixel).
Restrain unilateral bokeh and single flaw through high-precision assembly technology and original detector.

Adopt the FUJIFILM's original mechanical structure design of
  "vibration-resistance and impact-resistance"

Conduct strict vibration test according to JIS C 60068-2-6* 1 and keep high resolution prior to and after the test.
Under the circumstance that the robot vision and 3D scanning, etc. are hit, even by maximum a 10G* 2 hit, the optical axis variation (picture dislocation) is only below 10μm.
Without excessive use of glue and by adoption of the company's original mechanical structure* 3, the degradation caused by humidity, heat and long lasting will not occur.
The performance of "vibration-resistance and impact-resistance" is secured even though the iris can be adjusted. These features makes operation easier.
*1: [According to JIS C 60068-2-6], vibration frequency 10-60Hz (amplitude 0.75mm), vibration frequency 60-500Hz (acceleration 100m/S2), and scanning round 50 cycle *2: Applicable value of hit G varies from model to model *3: The company's original technology that has been patented

Support large sensor and realize compact outer diameter φ39㎜ at the same time

High convenience and reliability

Compact design of outer diameter φ39㎜ (CF8ZA-1S: outer diameter φ54㎜) contributes to saving space.

Retrofit CF-ZA series on the Machine Vision camera that supports large sensor

By adopting internal mechanical focus, the overall length of lens will not change when focused
Provided with 3 positioning holes for fixation of the Iris and focusing on lens body and the positioning hole can be selected according to setting conditions.
Having a indication sign on the lens that shows the optimal focus position when the subject is 50cm apart helps you to detect the flange back dislocation effectively.
The "anti-separation structure" is implemented on the knob of the Iris and focusing screw even if it is shaken violently, the screw will not fall off.
When manufactured, the optical performance results of each lens are managed by the factory. As the tool for FUJIFILM quality management, the lens cone of each lens is printed with QR code.

FL-CC1218-5MX f12 MTF-Comparison
[A] Competittors 5MP Lens: Larg distortion caused lower MTF results
  [B] Competittors 12 MP lens
[C] Competittors 5 MP Lens: High central MRF, very low periphieral MTF
  [D] Competittors 10 MP Lens

This series of 5 megapixel lenses are developed to be used with 2/3" format cameras and are not only optimised for high image quality, but also for use in harsh environments and durable industrial systems.

  Extremely low distortion
The optical distortion of this series is < 0.1%. The resulting extremely low distortion images are excellent for use in the image measurement field.

The lens‘s focusing uses a floating mechanism design, reducing aberrations from an infinite to close working distance. Therefore, the lenses can also be used at distance in intelligent traffic technology.

  Compact design
These lenses have a 33 mm compact design, ideal for installation with high performance equipment.

Bright and clear to the periphery
Despite the small diameter of 33 mm, the vignetting has been reduced to the minimum. Combined with the 5 megapixel resolution, bright, high contrast images are achieved all the way to the edges.

A floating focusing mechanism focuses whilst changing the spacing of some of its optical systems in order to minimize changes in aberrations due to object distance. The lens‘s construction is divided into a focus group that moves when focusing and a fixed group that remains stationary.

  High resolution and high contrast
Supports 2/3" format, 3.45μm pixel pitch cameras, producing sharp 147 lp/mm high resolution, high contrast images from the center to the periphery.

  Locking screws
The lenses are equipped with locking screws to prevent movement of focus and iris.
